Accessories

The Smart Automatic Feeder has a built‑in display, allowing the user to quickly and easily see important information about all the components mounted on the machine at a glance.

Blinking Locator: The feeder you select in the software blinks on the machine, so you can locate it instantly.

Color‑code: Users can assign different colors to feeders for quick visual categorization and organization.

Inventory Counter: A counter shows the estimated quantity remaining on the reel. This counter changes color based on the inventory‑level thresholds set by the user to warn the user if they need to reorder more.

Internal Memory: All this information is saved directly into the feeder and follows the feeder wherever it goes. You can mount it into another feeder slot or another machine and the information regarding the feeder will be there.

Feed Buttons: Three buttons are available for manual feeding during feeder setup: Continuous Forward, Fixed Pitch Forward, and Continuous Reverse.

Quick-Swap: Mount and dismount feeders in seconds.

Boarditto 2 Software - Quick Demos

(The following videos are best viewed in 4K)

Boarditto 2 Software - Jogging, Minimap, Viewport, and One-Click Auto-Align

The new Minimap and One-Click Auto-Align make jogging almost obsolete.

Boarditto 2 Software - Set Up PCB

PCB fiducials are small reference marks that let the machine accurately locate and align the board to ensure precise component placement.

The first pair of fiducials, called the Horizontal Reference Line, serves as the baseline that defines the PCB’s zero‑degree orientation.

The second pair, known as the Board Fiducials, are used for precise component placement and for correcting any positional or angular misalignment of the board.

This video illustrates the setup for single-board PCBs while panelized multi‑board PCBs are shown in a separate video.

Boarditto 2 Software - Component Training

With the new Auto-Measure Height and Auto-Align, training a component requires only a handful of clicks.

Boarditto 2 Software - Digital Microscope

Thanks to the built‑in ultra-high‑resolution cameras in our machines, the Boarditto 2 Software features a digital microscope mode that delivers crisp, magnified images which can be used for PCB inspection before and after pick and place production.

The Generate Preview feature automatically captures close to 50 high‑resolution photos of your current setup and stitches them into a single, large image that is saved with your current file. Clicking any area of the thumbnail opens a magnified view, allowing you to examine the PCB and feeder layout at any moment. Team members assigned to assemble the board can reference these images to see exactly how the board should look like, minimizing the risk of making mistakes. Although the capture process takes about a minute, it ensures that every detail of your board is preserved for future reference.

This video demonstrates how to use the Boarditto 2 Software to configure an automatic feeder and test picking up components from it. Our Smart Automatic Feeders contain internal memory that stores key information about the installed component, the pickup location, the text to display, and more. This data is saved directly in the feeder, so it travels with the unit. If you mount the feeder in a different slot, all the information remains intact.

The built‑in ruler is a simple yet handy tool for measuring the distance between two points.

This video demonstrates how to configure a Tray or Custom Feeder. The process involves tagging the locations of the first and last components and specifying the total number of columns and rows. The software then calculates all intermediate pick‑up positions, which the user can review by quickly toggling through each one. A final test picks up a component to confirm that everything works as expected.

The Auto‑Tag feature dramatically accelerates the setup of multi-board panels. Instead of manually tagging the position of each board’s fiducials, you train only one board. The software then automatically learns the fiducials for every other board in the panel.
