Useful Tips

  • You can turn off the machine at any time without worrying about damaging it.

  • Machine and Computer can be turned on or off independently.

  • For an appropriate screen resolution, plug in the monitor before turning on the computer. If the resolution is not correct, try restarting the computer.

  • Use double-sided tape to test a pick and place job on the Boarditto Demo Board #1. Stick the tape within the dashed lines (2“ or 5cm of tape width).

  • When tightening or loosening screws, be careful not to use excessive force because doing so may strip the threads of the screw hole. Also, make sure to insert the allen key all the way into the screw's hex cavity before rotating the key. Otherwise, you may risk stripping the screw's cavity, which will damage the screw and make it nearly impossible to remove or further tighten.

  • A proper installation of a user-removable hex standoff onto the base (for example, those for manual feeders) is achieved when the standoff does not wobble. However, be careful not to overtighten it to avoid stripping the threads of the screw hole. You may use your hands to install the standoff first until you're unable to screw it in any further. Push the standoff side to side to see if it wobbles. If it doesn't, you're done installing it. If it does wobble, try using a wrench and tighten it little by little until it doesn't wobble anymore.

  • Tightening or loosening the screws in the image below by a little bit will increase or decrease the strength with which the roller of the automatic feeder pulls on the clear tape. Always tighten or loosen both screws by the same amount.
